Adapt turns sweet 16!

Holy moly, it’s been 16 years!

In October 2007, I had a 2-year-old, we’d just bought our first house and an amazing opportunity to start a business with one project came my way. I thought (perhaps naively)… why not give it a crack?

So much has changed over that time, but my founding beliefs remain the same.

I’ve always felt that work should be a positive challenge in our lives, not something to endure.

So ‘Adapt’ was founded on the belief that everyone has the talent and ability to adapt and have fulfilling and impactful careers.

I wanted to bring what I'd learned in the corporate world and adapt it to SME's and purpose driven people and places.

'Adapt' began with one workforce planning project in the which morphed into executive coaching. Then, it was developing and delivering team performance and alignment programs for some other clients, followed by performance and communication training, organisational development programs, survey work and the coaching continued.

Leadership and culture programs came next, along with strategy development and hundreds of assessments, debriefs and executive coaching sessions.

There’s arguably no greater development and learning that comes from running a business and the privilege to work with multiple industries, individuals and challenges every day. You’re stretched to be your very best every single time you show up and to give 150%, which is amazing for growth, but can also be a recipe for burnout - but that's a story for another time.

I won’t say it’s been easy, but I’m proud of what I’ve done and delivered. I’m still standing and happier than ever, especially now that I’ve finally found that illusive ‘balance’.

These days, I typically work with talented senior leaders and SME CEOs in new roles or through periods of change, challenge and growth. I love the blend of strategy, culture, people and leadership that it requires to achieve bold ambitions.

Thank you to all my wonderful clients over the years, it's been a pleasure working with each and every one of you.

Thanks also to the colleagues, friends and family who have supported me along the way, I'm profoundly grateful.

I wonder what will be different this time next year?

THANK YOU!!
