Just because the topic is serious, doesn't mean that you can't enjoy yourself while working through it.

Lately, I've thoroughly enjoyed facilitating a number of team planning workshops where we've had a great laugh.

We got the decisions made, the planning done, the problems solved and managed to enjoy ourselves along the way, without cringy teambuilding activities.

Do you know what that means for those teams?

• Positive memories of their time together

• The ability to be themselves

• Engagement with the work

• Clarity on the way forward

• A evolution in trust

• Energy and momentum

No matter how smart and senior you are, a bit of levity is a fundamental part of connection and it guarantees to make work better.

Team planning should be a great experience, not a drag or a drain.
