How to be a 'natural' at communicating confidently

Ever wonder how others are 'naturals' at communicating with confidence and impact? You're not alone.

Some of my clients are among the most sought-after experts globally, yet they face the same insecurities as everyone else. Remember, intellect doesn’t always equate to confidence.

In reality, it's rare to meet anyone who is a 'natural'. Even the best and brightest don't think they're good enough. Or, they've had decades of experience and plenty of coaching.

Here are a few tried and true strategies:

° Focus on their needs, not your performance: Approach intimidating interactions with deep curiosity and a desire to add value. Making it about them reduces the pressure on yourself and enhances their experience.

° Clarity of purpose: Be crystal clear about the purpose of your interaction, both before and during the conversation. This approach streamlines communication, saving time and reducing confusion.

° Be concise: Deliver the main point first, then provide details if necessary. This shows confidence and understanding of your subject matter.

° Start strong: Your introduction can make or break your credibility. Prepare a genuine script for your introduction and practice it until it's natural.

What's worked for you to boost your communication confidence? I'd love to see your tips in the comments!
