When your goals become your normal

I recently had a week that was a major highlight.
It truly embodied why I do what I do.
There were the scheduled coaching sessions, where we explored things like big changes, tough calls, Board dynamics, planning for the next phase.
These discussions are always important and interesting.
But there were also so many touchpoints outside of sessions with other clients - celebrating a huge milestone over a glass of wine, picking up an SOS call from the gym, a debrief over a coffee, belly laughs over workplace weirdness, texts to check in, a phone call to share an incredible win.
This is what matters to me, the true partnership that comes from working with my clients in multiple formats when they need me, with a deep understanding of them, their organisations, their people and the objectives framing our work.
I always get huge satisfaction from supporting good people to navigate the highs and lows of leadership. But last week lit me up in so many ways and reminded me of how much I love what I do.
It's so important to take stock when things are in flow. Sometimes we don't even realise that we've achieved our goals when they've become the new normal.
